HomeReady ("we", "us") helps you track and improve your home-buying readiness. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and role (buyer, agent, or admin). If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile photo).
- Financial readiness profile: figures you enter such as credit score, months of employment, monthly income, monthly debts, down-payment savings, and target home price. These are used to calculate your readiness and loan estimates.
- Documents: proof files you choose to upload (e.g., pay stubs, bank statements) for verification.
- Messages & connections: in-app messages and connection requests between buyers and agents.
- Device & usage data: a push-notification token (if you enable notifications) and basic app activity used to operate features like your readiness streak.
2. How we use your information
- To calculate your readiness score, debt-to-income ratio, loan estimates, and personalized roadmap.
- To provide AI coaching tips and answers based on the figures you enter.
- To match you with relevant agents and lenders — and only connect you after you approve a request.
- To send account emails (welcome, password reset) and, if enabled, push notifications.
- To review uploaded documents and operate agent subscriptions.
3. Contact consent & anti-spam
You control who can contact you. Agents and lenders can only message you after you explicitly approve their connection request. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app.
4. AI processing
To generate coaching tips and answers, the readiness figures you enter are sent to our AI provider solely to produce your response. This content is not used to train third-party models.
5. Service providers we share data with
We share the minimum data needed with trusted providers who process it on our behalf:
- Cloud hosting & database — to store your account and profile data securely.
- Secure file storage — to hold documents you upload.
- Email delivery — to send account and password-reset emails.
- Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — to deliver notifications if you opt in.
- Subscription management (RevenueCat) — to manage agent subscription access.
- AI provider — to generate coaching content from the figures you enter.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use advertising identifiers.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
7. Security
Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing, access is authenticated with secure tokens, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Children
HomeReady is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Your choices
- Manage email preferences: email preferences.
- Turn push notifications on or off in the app or your device settings.
- Edit or remove the financial figures and documents you've entered.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
